Art in the Open Air:
Plein Air Painting at the Vineyard
During the Olalla Lavender Festival, the beautiful grounds of the Olalla Vineyard & Winery will become an open-air studio for a group of talented Plein Air artists.
Plein Air (French for “in the open air”) is a painting tradition that invites artists to step outside and capture the landscape in real time, embracing the light, color, and atmosphere of the moment.

Below, you’ll find a preview of the participating artists and one example of their previous work. Each brings a unique style and perspective — and during the festival weekend, they’ll be painting live on site, turning inspiration into art right before your eyes.
Come wander, watch, and witness the creative process unfold amidst the vines and lavender!
