This Weekend: Discover the Olalla Lavender Festival – A Boutique Celebration of Lavender, Music & Local Experiences
Looking for a different kind of summer festival? This weekend, the Olalla Lavender Festival invites you to slow down and experience a celebration where lavender is only the beginning.
Returning July 18–19, the festival transforms the rural community of Olalla into a vibrant destination filled with live music, artisan makers, lavender farms, workshops, wellness experiences, local flavors, and meaningful moments designed to inspire connection—with nature, creativity, and one another.
Built around the spirit of slow living, the Olalla Lavender Festival has become Olalla's largest annual community celebration while intentionally remaining boutique in size. Instead of rushing from one attraction to another, you're invited to wander at your own pace, explore our unique Gathering Places, meet local artisans, discover beautiful lavender farms, and enjoy an experience that feels welcoming, personal, and refreshingly unhurried.
More Than 20 Ways to Experience the Festival
This year's festival offers more than 20 experiences, from hands-on workshops and educational presentations to wellness activities, demonstrations, and interactive installations.
Be among the first to discover Whispering Woods, a brand-new immersive woodland journey featuring a series of reflective and creative stations inspired by nature. Returning favorites include the beloved Wishing Tree, where visitors are invited to share their hopes and dreams, and the Community Canvas, where everyone can leave their own creative mark.
Throughout the weekend, you'll also enjoy 14 live music performances, explore 40+ artisan vendors, discover lavender-inspired food and drinks, sip local wine and cider, and experience the creativity and hospitality that make Olalla so special.
A Taste of Provence
One of the festival's most unique features is its friendship with the lavender regions of Provence, France. Through our sister festival relationships with Grasse and Valensole, we're proud to celebrate the shared traditions and culture of lavender across two continents.
This connection deepens in 2026 with renowned Provençal chef Yves Terrillon joining the festival as our Culinary Ambassador. Visitors will receive access to an exclusive English edition of his lavender recipe booklet, created especially for the Olalla Lavender Festival and inspired by the flavors and traditions of southern France. We're also excited to welcome Chef Terrillon to Olalla in person in 2027.
A Celebration of Community
The Olalla Lavender Festival is about so much more than lavender. It's a celebration of the people, places, and traditions that make this small waterfront community so special.
Every Gathering Place has its own personality. Every artisan has a story to tell. Every musician, volunteer, business, and farm contributes to creating a weekend that feels authentic, welcoming, and inspiring.
Whether you're creating something with your hands, listening to live music under the summer sky, wandering through a lavender field, or simply enjoying time with family and friends, we hope you'll leave with beautiful memories—and a genuine connection to Olalla.
